Firedog Communications worked collaboratively with the Township of Nipigon to create, develop, test and implement a new brand that effectively communicated the essence of the Nipigon experience to diverse audiences in Canada and internationally.
With an understanding that local stakeholders were Nipigon’s greatest brand ambassadors, the process focused on fully engaging the community, including open house sessions and focus groups. The brand development process connected local people and businesses directly with the new Nipigon brand in meaningful ways so that they feel pride and ownership in the final results.
The Nipigon brand strategy and creative clearly defines and establishes a positive, recognizable and memorable Nipigon experience to the local community, visitors and external audiences. The final creative has been implemented across all platforms and channels, as well as tourism signage. The Nipigon Township Welcome Signage has won Canadian and International Sign Design Awards.
